“Bring Back the Magic”, the touching documentary that Lee Kovel made about the Temescal Canyon Pool has been accepted, out of over 1000 entries, for the Los Angeles Shorts Film Festival. It will be screened at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Hollywood Theater, 8000 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90064, on July 27, 2010, at 7:45 pm.   Before the screening, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, there will be a reception where you can come and meet the Film-Makers and “stars” of the film, at Michael Mina’s “XIV”, 8117 Sunset Blvd, (right across from the Theater.  Entry to reception is free.  Cash bar.   Tickets to the screening cost $ 12, and can be purchased either at the Laemmle Sunset 5 theater, or on line at www.lashortsfest.com.  The Sunset 5 complex provides 3 hours of free parking with validation from the cinema.  Alternatively, for $ 10, you can valet park at “XIV”.  It is OK to leave your car at XIV after the reception, for the screening.
